Romantic Gardens are designed to take you to a place where emotion takes precedent over reason. In this design like in many romantic style gardens, symmetry and balance are thrown to the wind and the focus is on the colour and the scent of the masses of flowers. The client required several areas to entertain outdoors and wanted to have some very whimsical views visible from their guest bed and breakfast accommodation. Concrete statues and feature planter urns are scattered throughout the garden within hidden vistas and garden rooms. A wooden pergola planted with Japanese wisteria sits above the outdoor dining area constructed with sandstone pavers.
